DAY 5 Lake Garda with Salò and Limone sul Garda
Breakfast at hotel.
Transfer by own means to Salò.

Morning | SALO'

Well-groomed and dense with café-salons overlooking the lakefront, the hamlet is an irresistible invitation to long refreshment breaks in front of a deep, lush gulf. On the main street many elegant houses manifest the aristocratic vocation that Salò, capital of the Magnifica Patria of the Lake Garda Riviera, had for a long time.
The 15th-century church of S. Maria Annunciata, so large and rich in art of the highest level that it has earned the appellation "Cathedral of Salò" despite not being the seat of an episcopal chair, is well worth a thorough visit.
The name of Salò took on international resonance when, during the final years of World War II, Hitler and Mussolini decided to establish the Italian Social Republic (RSI), whose capital was distributed to the various towns and mansions along the Brescian shore of Lake Garda. Many institutes and some ministries, including the Foreign Ministry headed by Mussolini himself, were based in Salò.

- The Zanardelli lakefront
- The Palace of the Magnificent Fatherland (exterior only)
- CSR venues
- The Cathedral of S. Maria Annunciata

Transfer by own means to Limone sul Garda

Afternoon | LIMONE SUL GARDA

Limone is a very small town overlooking the lake and protected behind by a vertical rocky part. Isolated until the 1930s, when the construction of the Gardesana road connected it to the rest of the world, its center has preserved intact its original structure of humble fishermen's houses and narrow uphill alleys.
Today it is one of the most touristically developed towns on Lake Garda. The old harbor, small squares, and alleys offer pleasant pathways dense with stores, small bars, and small hotels that thin out as you ascend until you reach the world's northernmost productive lemon house: the Castel Lemon House.
- The village and the Old Port
- The small 16th-century church of St. Rocco
- The Castle Lemon House
