COURMAYEUR AND AOSTA
Early morning departure from the chosen location to the Aosta Valley. Arrival in Courmayeur and time at leisure for shopping in the elegant stores in the center and to be captivated by the beautiful Christmas tree in Abbé Henry Square: a cascade of more than 20,000 lights symbolizing the beginning of Advent. At the end transfer to Aosta, a beautiful town in the heart of the Alps that preserves in a splendid combination monuments from Roman and medieval times such as: the Arch of Augustus (the emperor gave his name to the 'original Roman castrum), the Praetorian Gate, the Theater, the Walls and the famous Collegiate Church of St. Bear, patron saint of the city. Free lunch. Time at leisure to visit the quaint market called "Marché Vert Noël," among the most renowned in the Alps. A colorful Alpine village is recreated in the heart of the city, complete with streets, squares, bridges, wooden chalets and a real fir forest, amid music, lights and lots of merriment. Visitors can stroll around looking for just the right gift or, more simply, they can admire handicrafts from a variety of sectors: ceramics, wood, boiled wool clothing, Christmas decorations, and a wide selection of food. In the afternoon, return journey with expected arrival in the evening.
