DAY 1: VERONA - MERANO - LAKE RESIA - INNSBRUCK
Meeting with tour leader in Verona and start of tour by motor coach to Trentino and South Tyrol. Arrive in Merano, a beautiful spa town at the confluence of the Adige and Passirio rivers. The city is famous for its Art Nouveau and Belle Époque buildings that recall the days when it was also frequented by Empress Sissi. Time at leisure. Free lunch. Continue to the scenic Reschen Pass with a stop at Reschen Lake, a charming man-made alpine lake after a large dam was built in 1950. The special feature of the lake is that the top of the old bell tower of the ancient center of Curon Venosta, which was submerged following the construction of the dam and rebuilt further upstream, still emerges from its waters. Continue on to Austria and in the evening arrive in Innsbruck, the capital of Tyrol, beautifully located in the valley of the Inn River, surrounded by the striking backdrop of the Nordkette Mountains. DAY 2: INNSBRUCK - LAKE ACHENSEE - INNSBRUCK
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning dedicated to a guided tour of Innsbruck starting with the Altstadt, the Old Town on the south bank of the Inn River: the St. Jakob Cathedral, the Golden Roof, the city's emblem, the great Hofburg complex (interior) and the Court Church with the Imperial Tombs. Free lunch. In the afternoon excursion to Lake Achensee, Austria's largest lake with crystal clear waters. The lake is located a short distance from Innsbruck in the Karwendel Mountains, in Europe's most protected nature area. Boat ride and time at leisure for a walk in the beautiful natural setting of the lake. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 3: INNSBRUCK - KITZBÜHEL - LIENZ
Breakfast at hotel and departure for Kitzbühel, a famous resort and spa town and one of Austria's most important ski resorts. The city is surrounded by mountains that have always been its wealth: once it was the exploitation of salt mines, today it is tourism, especially in winter. Time at leisure in the old town, which holds many historic buildings. Free lunch. In the afternoon, continue to "Osttirol," East Tyrol, and its capital city Lienz, a charming town lined by the wooded backs of mountains and the bizarre rock formations of the Lienz Dolomites. DAY 4: LIENZ - LAKE MISURINA - CORTINA D'AMPEZZO - BELLUNO
Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for San Candido, a charming town in the Pustertal valley in the center of the Sexten Dolomites Nature Park. In this area, the Dolomites are the undisputed stars and offer breathtaking views. Continue to Lake Misurina, an enchanting body of water from which you can admire the famous Three Peaks of Lavaredo, in the true heart of theDolomites. Free lunch. In the afternoon, continue to Cortina d'Ampezzo, the queen of the Dolomites and a favorite destination for international tourism. Time at leisure in the historic center enveloped in the atmosphere of an exclusive place where art, nature and social life go hand in hand. DAY 5: BELLUNO - VALDOBBIADENE - BASSANO DEL GRAPPA - VERONA
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, guided tour of the center of Belluno, which is full of beautiful historic buildings, squares, churches and museums, and especially from every point there is a fantastic view of the Dolomites. Continue to Conegliano Veneto and take the Prosecco road to Valdobbiadene. In 2019, the site "Le Colline del Prosecco di Conegliano e Valdobbiadene" was inscribed on the World Heritage List as a cultural landscape, where the work of winegrowers has contributed to creating a unique scenery. Visit to a winery and Prosecco tasting. Free lunch. In the afternoon continuation to Bassano del Grappa.
