GREEN ALPINE TRAIN

Departure by GT coach from Inzago for Domodossola.
Meet with the guide and continue on the Green Train of the Alps towards Brig, Spiez and Thun. Passing through the Simplon Tunnel, one arrives in Switzerland in the canton of Valais, then passing through a second Alpine Tunnel "the Lötschberg" one reaches the Bernese Oberland region. Arrival in Thun and break for free lunch. Afterwards, guided tour of the town. The town of Thun, at the lower end of the lake of the same name, forms the gateway to the Bernese Oberland. The old town, at the center of which towers the 12th-century castle enhanced by its own museum, stretches along the Aare, about a kilometer from the lake shore. Then continue the journey by the Green Train of the Alps to Bern. Guided tour of the city. No other city has preserved its historic character as well as Bern, the capital of Switzerland. The historic center is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site and boasts 6 kilometers of arcades, one of the longest covered shopping promenades in Europe among baroque palaces, boutiques, restaurants and stores. Its landmarks are the Parliament, the Clock Tower, medieval fountains and the Bärengtraben (bear pit). Afterwards time at leisure.

After breakfast transfer by GT Coach to Interlaken whose name means "between two lakes," Lake Thun and Lake Brienz. You might be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, known as the triad of 4,000-footers that have made this tourist gateway location to the Bernese Oberland so famous. Free lunch. We continue the trip by boat from Interlaken to Thun. This turquoise-colored body of water is surrounded by impressive mountain scenery.
Continue the journey to Brig and stop for a free tour of the center. It then resumes the with the Green Train of the Alps to Domodossola.
