You will also visit some 5th Dynasty tombs, called Mastabas, richly decorated with beautiful painted reliefs.
Of the ancient capital Memphis, called Men-nefer (beautiful and stable) by the Egyptians, few remnants remain, largely buried under the present village of Mit-Rahina.
The Pyramids of Giza were considered by the ancients to be one of the seven wonders of the world, and they still amaze and fascinate with their mighty bulk. The enigmatic face of the great Sphinx and the elegant and harmonious Valley Temple of Pyramid of Chephren will conclude the visiting program.

The beauty of the place and the harmoniousness of the buildings have inspired writers and artists and given File the nickname "Pearl of the Nile." To save them from the waters of the Nile that would entirely submerge them after the construction of the Great Aswan Dam, all the File monuments were dismantled and rebuilt on a nearby island by an Italian firm.
Threatened by the waters of Lake Nasser, the temples, thanks to a campaign sponsored by UNESCO, were dismantled and rebuilt 60 meters higher.
