Piacenza and Castell’Arquato

Morning dedicated to a guided tour of Piacenza. From the Cittadella Viscontea with Palazzo Farnese to the splendid Palazzo Comunale to the Romanesque Cathedral, a true jewel of symbolic art, discovering a strange border town that was among the most important centers of Europe in medieval times. Finally we come to the splendid square that brings together the monumental testimonies: the Romanesque Collegiate Church, the Visconti Fortress and the Palazzo del Podestà that summarize centuries of history and religious, municipal and lordly power.
