Overview

A nature and cultural itinerary to discover one of the most picturesque places in Germany and Switzerland. Schaffhausen to visit the Rhine Falls, a splendid and mighty spectacle of nature, and Lake Constance, which marks the border between Austria, Switzerland and Germany. A stop in Lindau, a town that sits in a privileged position on an island in the middle of the lake, and an atmospheric walk through the old town of St. Gallen cannot be missed.

Itinerary

Day 1 06/21/23 Inzago - St. Gallen

Day 1 Inzago - St. Gallen
Departure by GT coach early in the morning. Arrive around 11:00 a.m. in St. Gallen for a guided walk through the old town among typical half-timbered houses.
The symbol of the city is the abbey complex with its Baroque cathedral: together with the library and archives they are part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site. Afterwards lunch at a restaurant.
In the afternoon, continue to the Singen area or other location around Lake Constance.
Hotel accommodation in the reserved rooms.
Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2 22.06.2023 Constance - Mainau Island - Meersburg

Breakfast at the hotel. Depart for Constance and visit the historic center, almost unchanged from the Middle Ages to the present day. Afterwards, visit Mainau Island with an immense park and botanical garden boasting a breathtaking variety of flowers, trees and shrubs.
Lunch at a restaurant.
In the afternoon, cross the lake by ferry to the town of Meersburg, developed on steep vineyards and dominated by the medieval fortress.
Tour of the historic center and fortress.
Return to hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 23.06.2023 Bregenz - Lindau - Friedrichshafen

Breakfast at the hotel and departure. First stop in Bregenz, a city of Roman origin, formerly called Briantium. Guided tour of the historic center along Kornmarktstrasse, the bustling central street. Stop in Linau, among the most popular resorts connected to the mainland by two bridges and on the border between Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Lunch at a restaurant.
In the afternoon, continue to Friedrichshafen, a city that owes its fame and wealth to the famous Zeppelin airship factory. Guided tour of the Zeppelin Museum, which today represents the most important collection of aviation history in the world.
Return to hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4 June 24, 2023 Schaffhausen-Zurich

Breakfast at the hotel and depart for Schiaffusa to visit the Rhine Falls, a splendid and mighty spectacle of nature. Short boat ride to see the falls (tour duration about 30 minutes with audio guides). Upon completion, continue the journey to Zurich. Arrival and lunch at a typical restaurant.
In the afternoon, guided tour of the city. Hotel accommodation, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5 June 25, 2023 Lucerne - Inzago

Breakfast at the hotel and depart for Lucerne, a charming and elegant town on Lake Lucerne.
Lunch in the city center and afterwards departure for the return journey.
