A DAY AT THE LAKE – SIRMIONE AND SURROUNDINGS

Departure by GT coach from Inzago in the direction of Sirmione.
Meeting with the guide and guided tour of the Borgo di Sirmione. The medieval village of Sirmione greets with the monumental grace of the Scaliger fortress. Its spectacular location completely surrounded by water and the enchanting views of the old town that can be admired from its tower already make Sirmione one of the most deserving tourist destinations in Italy.

90-minute boat tour with guide on board, tour around the peninsula, passage to Rocca di Manerba, Isola del Conigli and Isola del Garda, and return to Sirmione.

Afternoon transfer to San Martino della Battaglia for guided tour. The Tower of San Martino della Battaglia, a hamlet of Desenzano del Garda located in the countryside near Sirmione, is a place where memories are made of those who lost their lives fighting for Independence and the Unification of Italy. In fact, a bitter battle was fought here on June 24, 1859, at the end of which the Sardinian Army managed to prevail over the Austrians, paying the price of many lives. In memory of the entire Risorgimento era, those who died fighting for their country and King Victor Emmanuel II, the tower was erected in 1880 within a large park thanks to a popular subscription.
