The Castelli Romani, now protected by a Regional Park of about 10,000 hectares, represent a collection of villages perched on the Alban Hills, which constitute one of the most popular tourist destinations in Lazio. During our trip we will visit Tivoli, with the marvelous Villa d’Este, Castelgandolfo, known as “the City of the Popes) Ariccia, famous for its “porchetta,” Nemi, the smallest village of the Castelli Romani to end with Frascati, famous for its Tuscolan Villas and a symbol of the locality.

Itenirary
DAY 1: TIVOLI, VILLA D'ESTE
Early morning departure from the chosen location to Tivoli. Free lunch. Arrival. Meet with your guide for a visit to the wonderful Villa d'Este UNESCO World Heritage Site (entrance fee not included): a grand and scenic Renaissance villa. Villa d'Este is an undoubted masterpiece of Italian architecture and garden design with a vast number of fountains with wonderful water lilies, grottos and spectacular water features. Continue to the hotel in the Castelli Romani area. Accommodation in the reserved rooms. Dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 2: CASTELGANDOLFO - ARICCIA - NEMI
Breakfast. Day dedicated to a guided tour of the Castelli Romani Regional Park, once a favorite vacation spot for the capital's aristocratic families and popes. Unspoiled nature, ancient villages, stately villas, medieval castles and archaeological remains, the Regional Park includes 17 municipalities known as Castelli Romani because, in their history, they all went through a period of subjection to the local lord. Meet with your guide for a visit to Castelgandolfo, commonly known as the Pope's City, as it houses the Pope's summer residence. It is a resort located at the top of Lake Albano and is frequented by tourists from all over the world who appreciate the location, view, exquisite hospitality and refined beauty. Move to Ariccia, one of the Castelli Romani best known for the production of the famous "porchetta di Ariccia" and for the wonderful works of Bernini. Lunch at a typical tavern. Guided tour of the town and the beautiful Palazzo Chigi (entrance fee not included) an extraordinary example of a Baroque mansion that has remained unchanged over the centuries and therefore perfectly capable of documenting all the splendor of one of Italy's greatest families. Continue to Nemi the smallest village in the Castelli Romani and is located in the center of the Alban Hills. Known for the cultivation of strawberries on the shores of Lake Nemi, every year, on the first Sunday in June, the relevant festival is held. The old town is situated in a scenic location on the lake of the same name, famous for being the site of the 1927-1932 discovery of two celebratory Roman ships from the age of Emperor Caligula. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

DAY 3: FRASCATI
Breakfast. Depart for Frascati, a town renowned for its Tuscolan Villas and a symbol of the Castelli Romani. Rich in natural areas, Frascati is surrounded by greenery, including parks, archaeological sites and a wonderful belvedere that, especially on fine days, provides breathtaking views of Rome. Meet with the guide for a tour of the historic center: the 9th-century Church of Santa Maria in Vaivaro, the Baroque-era Cathedral, the Episcopal Palace, the Church of Jesus, etc. Free lunch. Upon completion departure for the return journey with arrival expected in the evening.
