Day 1 - Faenza and Mondaino
The day begins with a comfortable private transfer from the airport or train station to San Giovanni in Marignano, where a truly unique experience awaits: the first museum entirely dedicated to the Piadina Romagnola.
This fascinating sensory journey traces the story of piadina from prehistoric times through centuries of tradition, the boom of roadside kiosks in the 1950s and ’60s, and its current international acclaim.
Lunch follows at the Osteria del Museo, featuring a rich tasting menu centered around piadina and other local specialties. Fresh piadina will also be available for purchase.
In the afternoon, we head to Mondaino, a medieval village nestled between Romagna and the Marche region, dominated by its imposing fortress. A leisurely walk through the town's charming streets leads us to the Mulino della Porta di Sotto, where the renowned formaggio di fossa is produced. Enjoy a guided visit, learn about the traditional aging process, and savor a final tasting.
Return to the accommodation, dinner at the hotel, and overnight stay.
Day 2 - Ravenna
After breakfast at the hotel, we depart with a private transfer to Ravenna – a city of art and spirituality, home to one of the world’s most extraordinary treasures: the Byzantine mosaics, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Our guided tour will unveil masterpieces such as the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia, Sant’Apollinare Nuovo, Basilica of San Vitale, San Francesco, and the evocative Tomb of Dante, in the heart of the Dantean district.
Lunch will be enjoyed in a typical local trattoria, featuring a traditional meat-based menu.
In the afternoon, we continue to the charming seaside town of Cesenatico. Stroll freely along the canal harbor designed by Leonardo da Vinci, and visit the Maritime Museum, with its beautiful collection of historic boats moored right on the water.
Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3 - Santarcangelo
After breakfast at the hotel and check-out, depart with a private transfer to Santarcangelo di Romagna, one of the most charming and authentic villages in the region.
You will have free time to explore the historic center, from Piazza Ganganelli with its iconic Arch, to the top of Colle Giove, where you'll find Porta Cervese, the Campanone, and the imposing Castle.
Afterwards, we'll visit the tuff caves—an accessible and fascinating underground route, rich in mystery and legend.
Late in the morning, the experience becomes even more authentic with a cooking class at a local winery. Under the expert guidance of the Azdore—the true queens of Romagna's culinary tradition—you'll learn how to make handmade piadina in a warm and convivial atmosphere.
After the class, you’ll have a tour of the winery, followed by a tasting lunch: a traditional pasta dish, a platter of cured meats and cheeses, the piadina you prepared, a homemade dessert, and paired wines.
In the afternoon, a private transfer will be arranged for the return.
End of services.
