Drive to Florence independently.
Upon arrival check-in at a 4**** hotel in Florence (Hotel UNA Vittoria or similar)
Arrive at hotel and settle into room.

At 9:00 am meet your guide for a walking tour to discover the Florentine Renaissance. Florence, rich in architectural and artistic wonders, will reveal its landmarks: from Piazza della Repubblica to Ponte Vecchio, passing by the Loggia del Mercato Nuovo with its famous Porcellino. This experience is an essential part of any Tuscany itinerary and is often included in the best tours through Tuscany.

The tour continues to theAccademia dei Georgofili, Piazza degli Uffizi and the beautiful Piazza della Signoria, dominated by Palazzo Vecchio and the Loggia dei Lanzi. The tour ends in Piazza San Giovanni with the Duomo, Brunelleschi's Dome, the Baptistery and Giotto's Bell Tower.

At 5:30 pm, new appointment with a guide for an original Food Tour. A journey through history, tradition and authentic flavors: from medieval streets to Lampredotto, from historic wine bars with Finocchiona and Crostini to artisanal ice cream in a historic Florentine gelato shop.

At 8:30 am departure with private driver for Siena. After about an hour's drive, arrival and check into hotel (Hotel Athena or similar).

At 10:30 am meet your guide in front of the Basilica of San Domenico, the first point of the guided tour. This stop is a highlight in any well-crafted Tuscany trip itinerary and is often included in the best tours through Tuscany. You will admire the church and the precious relic of St. Catherine of Siena, patroness of Italy and Europe.

The tour continues through the medieval streets and squares, discovering the historic buildings associated with ancient Sienese families: the Rocca Salimbeni, home of Monte dei Paschi, the oldest bank in the world; the Palazzo Tolomei; and the Palazzo Chigi Saracini, now home to the Accademia Musicale Chigiana.

You will then reach Piazza del Campo, one of the most beautiful squares in Italy, famous for the Palio and dominated by the Palazzo Comunale and the Torre del Mangia.

The tour concludes with a visit to Siena Cathedral, one of the most extraordinary in Italy, rich in Gothic artwork and decorations, including sculptures by Donatello, Michelangelo and Bernini, magnificent inlaid marbles and stunning stained glass windows.

Short walk to the church of San Domenico to meet your guide and set off on a hike south along the scenic roads of the Crete Senesi and Val d'Orcia, amid iconic postcard landscapes.

First stop in Pienza, a Renaissance jewel commissioned by Pope Pius II. Free time to visit the Cathedral, the Romanesque church of Corsignano, explore the scenic alleys or browse the typical small stores.

Followed by a visit to a local farm with a wholesome lunch prepared with fresh, km 0 ingredients. You will learn about pecorino cheese production, rural life and, weather permitting, lunch on a terrace overlooking the valley.

In the afternoon, arrive in Montepulciano, a charming hill town between Siena and Florence. After a visit to the Piazza Grande and a historic winery with tasting of the famous Vino Nobile, you will have free time to explore.

Return to Siena with Tuscan sunset views.
