Day 1 - ITALY - SANTA CRUZ DE LA SIERRA - Monday, 21/04/2025
Departure by UX flight from Milan Malpensa airport. Meals and overnight stay on board.
Day 2 - ARRIVAL AT SANTA CRUZ - SUCRE - Tuesday, 22/04/2025 (breakfast, lunch)
Arrival at Santa Cruz airport. Transfer and check into hotel near the airport. In due time, return to airport and departure by flight to Sucre. Arrival, transfer and check into hotel.
In the afternoon, visit Sucre. The visit begins at the Casa de la Libertad, a historic building where Bolivia's independence was signed in 1825. Then, it goes up to Recoleta Square where you can enjoy breathtaking views of Sucre. Pass by the churches of San Lázaro and San Domingo, the Convent of San Felipe de Neri, Bolívar Park, and other important historical monuments. Finish your tour at the ASUR Textile Museum where you can learn about the importance of weaving and textiles in the communities' cultural identity, history, and economy. Dinner at a restaurant near the hotel and overnight stay.
Day 3 - SUCRE - TARABUCO - POTOSÌ - Wednesday, 04/23/2025 (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
Depart to Tarabuco for a visit to the famous and colorful Tarabuco indigenous market that welcomes artisans from different regions of Bolivia stocked with their wares. Possibility of interesting purchases. Lunch at a local restaurant. Afterwards, continuation to Potosi. The route passes through majestic valleys and boundless plateaus. Arrival in Potosì and accommodation in selected hotel. Dinner at a local restaurant. Overnight.
Day 4 - POTOSÌ - UYUNI - Thursday, 04/24/2025 (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
In the morning visit to Potosi, the first Bolivian city classified as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site, whose history and splendor are closely linked to silver. Visit to the museum of Santa Teresa built in 1761. Lunch at a local restaurant. Afternoon visit to a mine to learn about village life around this activity. Afterwards, departure by bus to Uyuni. Along the way, the landscape changes constantly, alternating between flat stretches where hundreds of Andean camelids swarm, and mountains of a thousand colors, as in an immense primordial palette of colors. Arrival in Colchani, dinner at the hotel and overnight stay.
Day 5 - UYUNI - SALAR DE UYUNI - UYUNI - Friday, 04/25/2025 (breakfast, lunch, dinner)
Depart for an excursion to the Salar de Uyuni considered as the largest salt desert in the world (about 10,000 sq km). The crossing of this immense salt desert always remains an unforgettable experience and one of the most exciting stops of the trip, as the Salar looks like a large ice rink. The route leads to the volcanic rock island Incahuasi, in the heart of the Salar, populated by giant cacti. From the top there is an impressive view of the surrounding area. Lunch is served at the appointed time in the middle of the salt desert (drinks included). Return to Uyuni and visit the train cemetery, a place where a large number of old steam locomotives and train cars from the early railroad periods, built mainly in France and England, can be seen. Arrival at the hotel and overnight stay. Distance and estimated time: Uyuni - Salar - Isla Incahuasi - Uyuni 175 km / 7 hours/ Activity included. Day 6 - UYUNI - LA PAZ - Saturday, 04/26/2025 (breakfast, lunch)
Transfer to the airport. Departure by flight to La Paz. Arrival and transfer to hotel. Afterwards, visit the city and the most significant sites: Plaza Murillo, the Cathedral, San Francisco Church and the picturesque Calle Sagarnaga where the "Witches' Market" takes place where preparations and potions for every need are sold. A mix of Catholicism, animism and black magic experienced in a completely natural way. Continue to the Valley of the Moon where spectacular rock formations can be seen. Afterwards, excursion by cable car for breathtaking views of the city. Lunch at a local restaurant. Return to the hotel. Overnight.
Day 7 - LA PAZ - COPACABANA - Sunday, 4/27/2025 (breakfast, lunch)
Depart for a visit to the archaeological ruins of Tiwanaku, a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site; visit the regional museum that houses a collection corresponding to different periods, the Akapana Pyramid, built with seven overlapping terraces, and the Kalasasaya temple inside which you can see the famous "Puerta del Sol" and monoliths representing indigenous priests. Lunch on the excursion. Continue by hydrofoil to Copacabana, on the border with Peru. Arrive and visit the main square and an old colonial church that houses the "Virgen Morena," patron saint of Bolivians. Arrival at the hotel and overnight stay.
Day 8 - COPACABANA - LA TITICACA LAKE - LA PAZ - Monday, 04/28/2025 (breakfast, lunch)
Depart by speedboat for Isla del Sol, well known as an important ceremonial center on Lake Titicaca: here developed among the most advanced cultures in South America such as the Chiripa in 1200 BC, the Tiwanaku civilization around 1000 BC. The Inca civilization was the last before the arrival of the Spaniards. Arrive and visit Pillkokaina, an ancient Inca palace with breathtaking views of both sides of the lake. Walk to the famous "fuente sagrada" which, according to ancient beliefs, contains the waters of youth. Typical lunch. Return to Copacabana and private transfer to La Paz. Arrival at the hotel and overnight stay.
Day 9 - LA PAZ - SANTA CRUZ DE LA SIERRA - ITALY - Tuesday, 4/29/2025 (Breakfast)
Transfer to La Paz airport and departure for Santa Cruz. Arrival, change of aircraft and continuation by scheduled intercontinental flight to Italy. Meals and overnight stay on board.
Day 10 - ARRIVAL IN ITALY - Wednesday, 30/04/2025
End of services.
